Located just minutes off the 5 freeway and close to Del Mar, Solana Beach, Cardiff, Carlsbad and Carmel Valley, Silverado Encinitas is more than just assisted living. It is a specialized memory care community dedicated to enriching life for the memory impaired.

Mornings in the garden, a shared meal, a familiar activity. Days here are built around what residents love to do.

Memory loss shows up differently in every person. Our care plans start with who your loved one is (their history, routines and joys) and build the clinical support around that, not the other way around.

Specialized care for Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia, in a community purpose-built for memory loss. Secure, calm and designed so residents can move freely and stay engaged.
A whole-person approach drawn from decades of memory-care experience: help with the everyday, familiar routines, trained caregivers and a calm environment that lowers anxiety and keeps residents engaged in the days ahead.
Short-term stays that give family caregivers a break, or a gentle way to experience the community before a longer-term decision. Full access to care, programming and meals.
Every Silverado community runs the same specialized care model, built for memory loss and nothing else. This is what that means day to day.

Silverado is a certified Great Place to Work. Caregivers who love where they work stay longer — and residents feel the difference every day.
Silverado was founded in 1996 to do memory care differently. That focus, and the experience behind it, has guided every community we've opened since.
If you are nearby but unsure which community fits, we will point you in the right direction.

Silverado has been providing care to not only my father, but my aunt as well. They are in different stages in their journey, and Silverado is attentive to each of their needs. I feel confident in their safety, medical treatment, and environment. Silverado offers a wide variety of meals to accommodate different dietary needs. The staff, nurses, and administration are transparent, knowledgeable, and friendly. They provide families with support in their family members treatment and care.

Silverado Encinitas is like no other memory care facility I have seen. When first looking for a place for my Mom, who was at that point in mid-stage dementia, we were looking at the traditional three-tiered models of living, Independent/Assisted/Memory Care. The memory care units in all of these places were depressing and seemed like afterthoughts. I then started investigating places that are strictly memory care. Some of these also felt a bit sad and lonely. Silverado has a completely different feel. The staff and residents all seem to enjoy each other. There are always people around, and there is always something going on. Beyond that, I’ve come to learn the training and dedication of the staff is excellent. After an initial period of adjustment, my mother has come to be very comfortable at Silverado. She truly loves the staff and considers some of the other residents her good friends. I know that she is safe, well cared for, and that all of her needs are met promptly and professionally. My only regret is not having her move in earlier in her disease process so she could have benefited from the Nexus program, which seems amazing.
